Can I hire a car with a debit card?
Enterprise Rent-A-Car accept all major debit cards except for Maestro, Electron, Solo and pre-paid cards. To hire our 4x4s and premium vehicles, they require a credit card. All cards MUST have the main driver’s name on them.
What do I need to hire a car with Enterprise Rent-A-Car?
You will need to bring the essential items to an Enterprise Rent-A-Car branch when hiring a vehicle are a valid drivers licence, valid ID, and a credit or debit card. You will also need to prove you are over 25 years of age, and there may be additional documentation required for international drivers.
Do I need insurance to rent a car or van?
No. At Enterprise Rent-A-Car you don’t need to purchase insurance as they provide a damage waiver within the cost of your hire. You can, of course, take the option to purchase additional protection products to reduce the excess further to give you complete peace of mind.
Can I pay for the rental car of another individual?
The renter of the vehicle must be present to sign the rental agreement and provide their credit card at the time of pick up. The renter cannot provide a credit or debit card belonging to someone else for their use. If you wish to pay for the rental car, but have someone else drive it, you can rent the vehicle in your name and add them as an additional driver. In order to add an additional driver, they would have to meet all of their additional driver requirements.
Can I return my rental vehicle if the enterprise branch is closed?
Airport locations: Will allow returns after hours and will have procedures in place for your early or late return. Please check with the rental location when picking up your rental vehicle for the exact procedure. Many branches located at major airports provide an after-hours drop box for your convenience.
Non-airport locations: Require that their rental vehicles be returned during normal business hours. Please check with your branch. If you want to return a vehicle when the branch is closed you must check with them when picking up your vehicle to determine if an “after hours” service dropbox is available.
