Australian Health & Safety Training (AHST) recently announced a government initiative. The Australian Government has created a national database of all enrolments in Vocational Education and Training (VET) from 1 January 2015. This includes Certificate, Diploma and short courses such as AHST aid courses.
You will need to provide Australian Health and Safety Training with a Government allocated Unique Student Identifier (USI) if you want to enroll in a AHST course and to be added to the national database.
What is a USI?
A USI is a 10 digit alpha-numeric number that is unique to each student in the VET system. It allows students to keep a history of their results from all VET training they do, from all providers, in one central location. Australian Health and Safety Training is all about making it easier for students to track their VET training courses and results.
