Can I pay cash on arrival?
This depends on the property’s own policy. The property will have clearly displayed on their micro-site what method you can pay with on arrival, either cash and/or credit/debit card.
What is a Non-Flexible Booking?
If you choose to make a Non-Flexible Booking and you cancel your booking then, regardless of how much notice you give, DEPOSITS AND BOOKING FEES WILL BE NON-REFUNDABLE. If you don’t select a Standard Flexible Booking option, your booking will be considered to be a Non-Flexible Booking.
Non-Flexible Booking customers should note that, even though your deposit and booking fee will be non-refundable in any event, you must give the amount of notice stipulated by the travel services provider in its cancellation policy, in order to avoid being charged an additional payment for a no- show or late cancellation.
Is the deposit refundable in the event of a cancellation?
Yes, if you chose Free Cancellation when you booked and you’re cancelling within the time period stated in your confirmation email. Just go to your Hostelworld account and cancel your booking online. You will receive your deposit back, but please bear with us as due to Covid-19 our team is far busier than usual.
If you didn’t choose Free Cancellation, then the deposit isn’t refundable (as per our Terms and Conditions).
If you chose a Standard Flexible Booking, and are cancelling within the notice period, you will receive credits that can be used on your next adventure. You can do this in your Hostelworld account and they’ll be credited to you, as soon as we’ve processed them. We’re sorry if this takes a little longer than usual.
What forms of payment are accepted?
HostelWorld accept are Visa, Visa Delta, Visa Electron, Mastercard, Switch, JCB, and Laser. Your card or PayPal account will be charged for a deposit (down-payment) at the time of booking.
How do I make a Booking Guarantee claim?
In order to make a claim under our Booking Guarantee, you must contact us within 48 hours of arrival at the property as per the arrival date and time outlined on your reservation confirmation.
You must contact them and detail your claim by submitting a Booking Guarantee Query.
If requested by HostelWorld upon making your claim, you must be able to provide a copy of your confirmation email either digitally or print or booking reference number that can be subsequently validated against the booking confirmation, in order for us to verify your claim.
