How are the wines selected?
Wine Selectors Tasting Panel tastes and rates thousands of wines from all over Australia every year. They blind taste every wine as the bottle is covered in a cloth bag, and they assess the colour, nose and palate, reaching a score out of 20
18.5-20 = Gold medal
17.0-18.4 = Silver medal
15.5-16.9 = Bronze medal
At least all the wine bottle has to achieve a Bronze medal score to be selected for you, as Wine Selectors wants to ensure that their customers receive the freshest, most exciting and very best quality wines.
Can I buy Wine Selectors wines at bottle shops?
Wine Selectors has relationships with over 500 Australian wineries and some of their wines are available in bottle shops. Although many smaller, boutique wineries produce fantastic wine, they can’t compete with the larger producers for regular retail shelf space. Through Wine Selectors’ support of boutique producers, you have access to hundreds of wines!
A wine I would like to purchase has sold out. What do I do?
Wine Selectors Customer Service Team may be able to reorder a sold-out wine. Give them a call on 1300 303 307, 8.30am–6pm, Monday to Friday.
If I really like one of the wines in my Cellar Door Release selections, can I order more of that wine only?
Of course. All the wines you receive in your cellar door releases are available for reorder.
Why has my Cellar Door Release price changed?
Despite the fact that Wine Selectors has been absorbing cost increases in a bid to keep our prices as low as possible, rising costs and no price increases for over 12 months mean that they need to pass on a marginal increase to their customers; however, before that they will do everything to minimise these increases.
